Elizabeth Dzidzornu is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Medical Imaging (Radiography), SAHS-UHAS (Ghana). Prior to this appointment, she was a diagnostic radiographer and the head of department at Paradise Diagnostic Center, Lapaz. She is registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Ghana as well as the Ghana Society of Radiographers (GSR).
Education
She holds a Master of Philosophy Degree in Medical Imaging from the University of Health and Allied Sciences (SAHS), and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Diagnostic Radiography from the University of Ghana.
Work Experience
Elizabeth had over seven years of experience as a diagnostic radiographer prior to her appointment as an Assistant Lecturer. She worked as an intern radiographer at Diagnostic Center Ltd, East Legon from 2014 to 2015 and moved to Paradise Diagnostic from 2015 to 2018 and rose to the rank of head of the department. She worked as a part-time radiographer at various diagnostic centers (Sweden Ghana Medical Center among others) from 2018 to 2021 while pursuing higher degree studies. While at work, she served as a preceptor for undergraduate radiography students through clinical supervision and training. Elizabeth is involved in breast cancer sensitization programs due to her passion for women’s health and her experience in mammography.
She currently teaches Clinical Applications of Computed Tomography, Clinical Applications Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging and Radiographic Anatomy at the Department of Medical Imaging (Radiography) in the School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ghana.

Elizabeth’s area of research interest includes Breast density and cancer risk assessment, Mammography compression variations, Dose optimisation, Breast screening and imaging, Image quality, Radiological image interpretation among others.
