George Yiadom Osei is a Laboratory Technologist at the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho. He is a registered Medical Laboratory Scientist and a member of the Ghana Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists.
Education
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from the University of Ghana, Legon in 2015.
Work Experience
Prior to his permanent appointment as a Laboratory Technologist in the University of Health and Allied Sciences, he doubled as an intern Medical Laboratory Scientist at the Ho Teaching Hospital as well as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences as part of his National Service in the University. As a Teaching Assistant, he facilitated the conduct of laboratory practical for students.
He also served as the Laboratory Technical Head from the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences from August 2018 to August 2020. He currently helps with the hands-on training of students in the histo/cytopathology Laboratory as well as processing of patients’ samples for pathology investigations.
Science/Research Output
He has a strong interest in histopathology, cytopathology as well maternal healthcare issues.
