Justice Hanson is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Medical Imaging (Radiography) of the School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS), University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ho, Ghana. He is a registrant of the Allied Health Professions Council and a registered member of both the Society of Radiographers and Society of Medical Physicist in Ghana. His specialty is in Therapy Radiography.
Education
Mr. Hanson had his Bachelor of Science (BSc.) Degree in Radiography (Therapy Radiography) at the School of Biomedical and Allied Sciences (SBAHS) of University of Ghana and later pursued a Master of Philosophy (MPhil.) in Medical Physics at the School of Nuclear and Allied Sciences (SNAS) of the same University.
Work Experience
Mr. Hanson is a trained Radiographer and Medical Physicist with specialty in Radiotherapy. He has worked for over six years as a Clinical Radiotherapist at the National Centre for Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine Department of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. While with the Department, he also served as a clinical supervisor for the UG undergraduate Therapy Radiography students.
Mr. Hanson teaching career started when he was appointed as a Senior Research Assistant at the Department of Radiography of the SBAHS, University of Ghana. Currently, he teaches Radiographic Physics (I, II & III), Radiographic equipment (I & II) and Electrophysics in the Department of Medical Imaging (Radiography) and the Department of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Sciences respectively of the School of Allied Health Sciences, UHAS. He also teaches General Physics at the School of Basic and Biomedical Sciences of the same University
Science/Research Output
Mr. Hanson is an accomplished researcher and has conducted extensive research in Radiography. He has research interest in the area of Quality assurance in Radiological procedures, Patient radiation protection, Optimization of image quality in Radiography, Survival rate of cancer patients in Ghana, Dosimetry and Radiation treatment planning. He has a number of research publications in peer-reviewed journals.
