Alice Koryo-Dabrah is a lecturer at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Health and Allied Sciences. Prior to this appointment she was an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, University of Ghana. She is a registered dietitian in with Ghana Dietetic Association.
Education
She had her Bachelor of Science education in Home Science at the University of Ghana and later pursued a Master of Philosophy in Dietetics at the same University.
Work Experience
She was a teaching assistant in the Department of Home Science, University of Ghana for her national service. She also worked as a dietetic intern at the Ridge, Princess Marie Louise, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospitals. Her teaching experience is in the area of Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics. She worked as a community nutrition consultant on the Natural Resource Management Study and Design in the Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions of Ghana for the USAID. She has participated in a number of healthy eating drive in communities and through the media.
Science/Research Output
Ms. Koryo-Dabrah’s research interest is in the area of child and maternal nutrition, nutrition in infectious disease, nutrition and diet related diseases and recipe development. Currently, she is involved in a number research in the area of child and maternal nutrition and nutrition in infectious disease.
