Ms. Patience Addo is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Medical Imaging (Radiography), SAHS-UHAS (Ghana). Prior to her appointment, she was a Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Radiography, SBAHS, University of Ghana. She is a registrant of the Allied Health Professions Council, Ghana and a registered member of both the Ghana Society of Radiographers (GSR) and the Ghana Association for Radiation Protection (GARP).
Education
She holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Radiation Protection and a Bachelor’s in Radiography (Diagnostic) both from the University of Ghana.
Work Experience
Ms. Addo is an accomplished Diagnostic Radiographer with about six years’ experience of teaching and clinical supervision in the field of Radiography.
She worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Radiography (UG) as an intern and then later as a Senior Research Assistant from 2012-2018. As a research assistant, she was involved in various research projects for both faculty and undergraduate students within the department, while also serving as a clinical assessor for undergraduate students.
She worked with some diagnostic centres on part-time basis while lecturing in the department of Radiography (UG).
Also, she worked as a part-time Lecturer at the College of Health-Kintampo.
Ms. Addo has been a volunteer for the GRAFT foundation, an NGO which offers reconstructive surgical repairs for needy people in rural Ghana since 2013.
Currently, she teaches Introduction to Radiography in the Department of Medical Imaging (Radiography) of the School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ghana.
