Ms. Theresa Mawukoenya Sedzro is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho. She was an Acting Coordinator for the Department.
Education
She had her Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics at University of Ghana, Legon and a Master of Philosophy in Linguistics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway.
Work Experience
She worked as a Proofreader at Ghanaian Times Corporation and later as an administrative secretary at the Office of the Dean (Faculty of Arts, University of Ghana) for one year. She began her teaching career as a teaching assistant in Communication and Report Writing Skills, Academic Writing and English Language at the University of Health and Allied Sciences.
Science/Research Output
Ms. Sedzro’s research area is language and brain development with special focus on neurodevelopmental disorders. She currently works on the early identification and intervention challenges of children suffering from speech and language disorders within the Ho Municipality. She is a member of the Linguistics Association of Ghana (LAG).
