Edward Ken Essuman is a Lecturer at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho, Ghana. He is also a Health and Safety Professional and a consultant at K&A Consulting, Kumasi-Ghana. He is a Chartered Economist and a member of the Institute of Chartered Economists of Ghana (ICEG).
Education
He is currently doing his PhD in Food and Postharvest Technology at the University of Cape Coast. He holds an MPhil. degree in Food Science and Technology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana and a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science from University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Also, he holds a Diploma in Project Management; Health and Safety Management from the Institute for Professional and Executive Development (IPED), UK.
Work Experience
Edward Ken Essuman was a lecturer at Kaaf University College and an intern as a Nutrition Officer at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi-Ghana. He has trained several individuals and corporate bodies in the area of Occupational Health and Safety Management. He was a former tutor at Somanya Secondary Technical School and Ghana National Academy.
Research Output
His area of research includes Food Authentication and Integrity, Food Product Development, Bioactive compounds in Food, Food Analysis, Food Safety and Occupational Health and Safety. He has over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and a reviewer for some international journals.
