Albert Abaka-Yawson is currently a laboratory technologist and the Technical Head of the Laboratory Unit of the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences of the School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho.
Education
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from University of Cape Coast and University of Education, Winneba respectively.
Work Experience
Albert Akaba-Yawson has six years working experience in the field of Medical Laboratory Practice. Prior to joining the University of Health and Allied Sciences, he worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and Head of Laboratory in various health facilities including Bonna Clinic, Adweso Clinic and Medicas Hospital, all in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Science/Research Output
Mr. Akaba-Yawson has interest in diabetes, nephrology and infectious diseases particularly parasitic diseases. He has strong passion for medical laboratory practice and research. He has more than 20 research publications in peer-reviewed journals as well a conference presentation to his credit.
