Education
Akouetevi studied Prosthetics and Orthotics (Diploma in Orthopaedic Technology) at Ecole Nationale des Auxiliaires Medicaux, Lome, Togo. He completed his both Msc in Rehabilitation (Prosthetics & Orthotics and Assistive Technology) and Ph.D in Health Science at Niigata University of Health and Welfare, Niigata, Japan. Dr. Aduayom-Ahego has a Certificate in Japanese Language from Musashi Urawa Japanese Language Institute, Saitama, Japan.
Work Experience
As a Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist, he did his clinical internship with Ghana Health Service at the National Prosthetics and Orthotics Centre, Accra, from 2010 to 2011. After obtaining his doctorate degree in 2018, he worked as Research Assistant and Research Associate at the Faculty of Sport Sciences, Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan. He also worked as a Researcher in a 3D foot morphology scanner developing company (Dream GP Inc., Osaka, Japan).
Science/Research Output
His research interest is in the development of Prosthetics and Orthotics devices and education in sub-Saharan Africa, motion analysis and evaluation of foot orthoses in footwear. He is an active member of the following professional organizations: International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics, International Society of Biomechanics and Japanese Academy of Prosthetics and Orthotics.
